Calgary Walking Tour Day 3
We got up early to meet our tour guide at 10am. She was a girl from Iran. She took us around downtown telling us about how Calgary came to be, the most famous buildings, about the train company and how immigrants made it to this part of Canada. We then went on our own to have something to eat. The day was very hot and we had tickets to de Calgary Stampede. We went there around 3pm. We watched a Cirque du Soleil wanna be show. Not bad. We then walked around the amusement park. Lots of fair games where it is rigged for you not to win anything. We then decided to have some hotdogs, Gary had a Bacon Hot Dog and Jack an deep fried onion with crumbs. We then made our way to the main attraction: The Evening Show. The three main events were: the chuckwagon racing; relay races with three horses and the Grand Show. The show was quite something when it came to the fireworks and drone lights. Will not go again but I can take it off the list of thing one has to see before you die. We then headed to our new hotel, yes we changed hotel every day, Best Western Plus Suites in Calgary.
