El Oro for the Weekend

This weekend we had an Airbnb pending to be used as we had been unable to go a few weeks ago. We had had El Oro in the list of places to go to as we have read that it had a nice biking trail and a beautiful Pueblo Magico. It was a nice route, up hill at the beginning and all downhill at the end. It was a mix of terrain. The Airbnb was extremely basic. It was in a local community. It was clean and it had basics although it could have done with a toilet seat, a shower that actually had water and a few basics in the kitchen.
The town is very small and with few attractions. It is mainly a mining town. It's boom was in the beginning of last century when the English and the French were here. It was then taken my Mexicans in the 30's and until the 60's. It has more that 60 mines in this little town, so you can say that it is build like a Gruyere Cheese. The mines were digged vertically.
We had two nice meals and a snack, and being with COVID still around, they took all precautions possible, and so did we.
