Halloween 2023
This year we really cut it short when it came to what Gary was going to dress up like. Maya knew what she wanted but still pondering on the details till the last minute. I decided to make myself a costume for the first time ever. So Edna Mode was my costume, very appropriate, I know. Maya wanted to be a fallen angel. The idea was for Julia, Nehchal and her to dress the same but, Nehchal looking pretty, Julia a little bit damaged, and Maya as terrifying as possible. Gary thought it would be simple to be a scary clown. He went all the way and shaved his head for it. We got up at 3am to start makeups. Again, people loved it in school. People were scared, amazed and loving the costumes. Maya won the most scary one.
However, the adventure didn't stop there. Maya used the contact lenses a little too long and when she got home she could not open her eyes. We ended at the hospital. She had scratched her corneas. They patched her eyes and had to stay like that until next day at noon. BUT she had a party!! So we improvised the costume.
