Summer 2022 - Vilanova i la Geltru (2nd week)
So after a very full week of walking a lot, we headed to Vilanova i la Giltru on the south of Barcelona. We rented a couple of cars, which one of them broke down just after 20 min of having acquired it. We waited for an hour for a tow-truck to take it away and we had to go and get another one. Finally on our way, when we arrived to Vilanova, very hungry, we were told we had to wait two hours to be served as the kitchens were all closed. So we decided to go to the grocery store to get stuff to cook at home. So I decided to park in an underground parking, which turned out to be a private parking lot. We had locked our cars inside the parking lot without any way of getting back in to get them. We followed a car that was entering the place, and ask for their help to leave, to which the refused. So after getting in when they opened the door, we had to look for another person in there to open the garage door for us. We finally did. After this bumpy start, the week was very relaxing at the house we booked. We did a tour to an olive farm and had a wonderful explanation of the process and an amazing breakfast. The second tour was at a vineyard. We learned about all the process and tasted some Cava.
